Tree of Life Self Portrait
This lesson will introduce students to Tree of Life folk art. Students will brainstorm ideas and create a tree collage that is a self-portrait. Students will review line and value with markers and colored pencils. Students will then add symbols to their tree of people and things that are important to them.

Our current focus is on Central America. Our curriculum is based on teaching the elements of art and often include cross-circular connections.
